The Second ROYAN International Infertility Research Award

In November 2001, the Royan Institute will once again host the Royan International Award on infertility and reproductive health research in Tehran. The international researchers will be given a chance to be mustered again to exchange and represent the results of their investigations. This year, the awards (total sum of $32,000) will be granted to five selected researches on infertility or any other related topic. In addition to international section, three domestic outstanding researches will be awarded.
The research topics may fall within the following scope: male & female infertility, embryology, reproductive endocrinology, genetics, infertility physiology and immunology, reproductive biology and reproductive health.
The abstracts, application forms, and the other required attachments (endorsed photos, particulars, etc.) should be mailed by April 10, 2001.

Memorial Congress of Hakim Ismail Jorjani

The Academy of Medical Sciences of I.R. Iran is sponsoring a memorial congress in honor of I. Jorjani, the Iranian physician-philosopher on October 2001 in Gorgan, Iran. Article abstracts in English or Persian should be submitted by 5^th of March 2001 to the editorial office.
The mail topics of the congress are: Jorjani and his era, the Zakhirre-ye Kharazm-Shahi, the prose of Jorjani, the works of Jorjani, Jorjani and philosophy, the influence of Jorjani’s predecessors, Jorjani and the renovation of Iranian medicine, fundamental concepts of traditional medicine, Jorjani and his impact on medicine.
