Gross Objective
Achieve the objectives of the Academy in the field of Paramedical Sciences.
Specific Objectives
Provide consultation, theorization, and foresight in the field of paramedical sciences.
Attain scientific and cultural independence.
Advance sciences and technologies in paramedical disciplines.
Strengthen the research spirit to achieve the most effective, scientific, and up-to-date findings and innovations in the field of paramedical sciences.
Monitor and provide paramedical services and solutions to address issues, both in service delivery and for service recipients.
Safeguard the cultural heritage and the Islamic-Iranian civilization within the domain of paramedical sciences.
Promote and expand the disciplines of philosophy, wisdom, Islamic ethics, and jurisprudence in relation to health and medicine.
Implement all duties stipulated under Article 2 of the Constitution of the Academy of Medical Sciences within the scope of paramedical sciences, excluding Articles 8 and 9 of the Constitution.
Contribute to the realization of the national vision for civilizational development and the Islamic-Iranian model of progress in all objectives and duties of the Academy.
Support the implementation of the Comprehensive National Scientific Map, enhance the efficiency of the system, defend religious principles, promote unity and national security, and safeguard Islamic and Iranian culture and identity.
Analyze challenges and provide practical, care-oriented, and service-focused recommendations for the advancement of paramedical sciences in the country.
Critique ongoing policies and programs in the field of paramedical sciences and provide recommendations to the relevant authorities and institutions.
Promote knowledge translation in paramedical sciences and healthcare services by leveraging collaborative activities and securing the support and encouragement of the country's scientists, researchers, elites, and experts.
Present and formulate scientific hypotheses and theories; pursue the expansion of knowledge frontiers and efforts to raise the level of national scholarship and research in alignment with preserving scientific and cultural independence and with the Comprehensive National Scientific Map in the field of paramedical sciences.
Cooperate and provide measures to strengthen Islamic culture, spiritual health, and medical ethics, and work toward the recognition and promotion of paramedical sciences.
Refine, reinforce, and disseminate public understanding of paramedical sciences within society.
Provide fundamental scientific and research consultation on matters of knowledge, theorization, and technology requested by the three branches of government, the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, and academic and research centers, through submiting recommendations, whenever reguired.
Study national and international experiences in acquiring and developing knowledge and technology in paramedical sciences, and review the latest scientific findings and their applicability taking in consideration the country’s context and resources.
Encourage and incentivize scientists and researchers to innovate and produce scholarly work through material and moral support.
Support establishment of necessary facilities for information exchange and dissemination of research results, and facilitate scholarly dialogue and exchange of specialists and researchers in paramedical sciences with other countries, especially Islamic countries, to preserve and revive the Islamic–Iranian medical heritage, including provision of grants, scholarships, study opportunities, and scientific travel through relevant authorities.
Review and propose regulations to enhance the academic quality of seminars, congresses, and conferences in the medical field at the national level and evaluate such events.
Support the organization of scientific conferences addressing the latest findings in paramedical sciences.
Disseminate paramedical knowledge through publication of scientific, research, and applied journals and books, with particular emphasis on novel health sciences findings at the national and international levels.
Encourage and honor scientists for their services; provision of grant rewards, prizes, and scientific distinctions to individuals and institutions that have rendered outstanding scientific contributions.
Propose and allocate research funding and facilities for the activities of distinguished scientists.
Establish and maintain relations with national academies of health and medical sciences abroad and consider and approve the Academy’s membership in international bodies and organizations whose functions and objectives align with those of the Academy, in accordance with national laws and regulations.
Elevate scientific societies and utilize the capacities of medical scientific associations and other health-related societies; encourage and promote their participation in policymaking and planning across areas related to paramedical sciences.
Review and analyze the scientific, technical, educational, and research status of medical sciences and submit recommendations for their improvement and advancement to the relevant authorities.
